An organization that aims to commemorate our precious people who have been forgotten, whose value has become scarce, who have devoted their lives to cinema, sports and art, who have served the society for years, and which aims to give them an honorary award for their contributions has started.

The organization, which took its name as Golden Tulip in 2013, was founded by Bülent Türker as a foundation. The first Golden Tulip award, made in May 2013, was given to Naim Süleymanoğlu, who contributed greatly to the development of this idea, for his contributions to Turkish sports and youth.

The following year, it was decided that it would be more meaningful to hold the Golden Tulip awards on October 29, Republic Day. The Golden Tulip organization was well-known and resonated all over Europe with the commemoration of Atatürk and the Republic Day celebrations.

Organized every year in the Netherlands, the organization was officially recognized by the Dutch government in its 5th year and contributed significantly to the friendship between Turkey and the Netherlands. Thus, it has become a popular and well-known foundation in Europe and Turkey.  

The organization, which does not compromise on its quality, has traditionally continued to give awards to an important artist from Turkey and valuable Turkish people in the Netherlands every year. In the Netherlands, successful individuals and organizations in 12 branches  are given the Golden Tulip award, and an important name from Turkey.

Candidates are proposed by the public and the top 3 candidates from the qualifying rounds are presented to the evaluation of the jury, which is composed of different countries, especially the Netherlands and Turkey, which changes every year. The winners of the award are announced at the award ceremony.

The Golden Tulip awards, which are celebrated every year with the Republic Day, find their owners after long work with the members of the jury and their devoted teammates.

No commercial or political non-profit organization consists of the services of volunteers who love Turkey. In addition, the Golden Tulip Foundation supports stray animals and children with its income.

Bülent Türker has been serving as honorary chairman since the 6th year of its establishment.
